Kanye West announces he's running for US president in 2020

Kanye Omari West an American rapper and a vocal supporter of U.S President Donald Trump announced that he is running for US president in 2020.

Kanye West who has been a frequent source of controversy for his conducts at several occasions made this announcement in a Twitter post on Saturday night, July 4.

"We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION," he tweeted.

In 2008, he said he will go down in history as the voice of this generation, it was a comment that was widely ridiculed. 2020, his vision is the 'White House'.

The rapper is one of the world's best selling music artist with over 140 million records sold nationwide. He was named as one of 100 most influential people in the world in 2005 and 2015 by Times magazine.

The fashion designer who is married to TV personality, Kim Kardashian, after the success of his song 'Jesus Walks' was questioned on his beliefs he said, "I will say that I'm spiritual, I have accepted Jesus as my Savior. And I will say that I fall short everyday.
