Seyi Shay Reveals True Cause of Feud with Tiwa Savage

 

Nigerian singer Seyi Shay has revealed that a secret affair between her former personal assistant and Tiwa Savage's ex-husband, Tunji Balogun (also known as TeeBillz), was the root cause of their long-standing feud. 

Seyi revealed this on the OffAir Show, explaining that she was unaware of the reason for their rift until her former PA reached out to apologize years later. 

The PA confessed to having a romantic relationship with TeeBillz while working for Seyi, which likely led to Tiwa ending their friendship, assuming Seyi knew about it.

Seyi expressed being deeply hurt and disgusted by the revelation, stating that their close working relationship and friendship made the betrayal even more painful. 

She empathized with Tiwa, acknowledging that if she were in her shoes, she would have reacted even more harshly. 

The feud between the two singers has been a topic of discussion for years, with this revelation providing insight into the root cause of their fallout 

She said, “I honestly didn’t know why Tiwa and I stopped talking to each other. A young lady I hired as a PA back when Didi was still managing me… after the whole salon experience, I moved to London to have my daughter.

"I saw this girl at the club, someone I had not seen in about seven years. She hit me up on Instagram, we met for lunch, and she said, ‘I saw what happened and I’m really sorry. It is very detrimental to your career, and I feel like I’m the cause of it.

“To cut a long story short, it turns out the girl was having a relationship with my girl’s husband, and I didn’t even know. She told me all of that. It must have been true; I don’t think she would say all of that as a joke.

“When she told me this, I was disgusted because we were rolling together and doing things together, meanwhile, Tiwa probably thought I knew about it. You can just imagine the anger. It’s so painful. If that was me, I would have done worse.”
