"Dancing Isn't the Best Way to Promote Nollywood Films" - Jide Kosoko Speaks Out

Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko recently shared his views on the trend of actors dancing on social media to promote movies, stating that it's not the best strategy, though he acknowledged it can be effective for some.

In an interview, Kosoko described dancing as an unconventional promotional tactic. He noted it's "not the best" or ideal approach, especially when compared to more structured or professional methods used globally, pointing out that international actors typically don't rely on dancing for promotion. 

He emphasized the need for a more organized way to market Nollywood films to elevate the industry.

However, he gave credit where due. Kosoko specifically mentioned that this style has worked well for certain actors, particularly Funke Akindele, whose energetic dance promotions have helped draw attention and contributed to her box-office successes.
