Beyond Functions ll is an exhibition of Pottery and ceramics by Ato Arinze and Djakou Kassi Nathalie. The exhibition is from June 9 -24, 2018 at Quintessence Gallery, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.


Its maiden edition was held in 2016. The exhibition works were masterpiece with the message well communicated.

Ato Arinze is a Nigeria famous Artist. He is a sculptor, potter, arts consultant and manager. He is also the founding father of "Artzero" an Art group. Ato has won awards, participated many in many exhibitions and commissioned art works, among is the bust of first Nigerian President, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe. He's cool, someone you can always run to.

Djakou Kassi Nathalie is a camerounian, a ceramic artist. She is a versatile artist who has experimented with diverse media. She was the manager of the Ceramic Center at Mbalmayo for five years and won many awards.

"What inspires Ato Arinze and Djakou Kassi Nathalie in this exhibition is the desire to project ceramic as a genre of art that is not limited to functionality," Mathew Oyedele said.
