Pastor arrested for allegedly raping a teenager inside his church

The Akwa Ibom Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old pastor identified as Nnamso Friday Jacob aka 'Major Prophet Honesty Jesus, for allegedly raping a teenager inside the church.

Honesty Jesus, allegedly raped the 16-year-old girl who went to the church for counseling and deliverance as arranged by the pastor. The pastor, reportedly drugged and raped the teenager at Jacob's Church, the Living Power of Zion Church located at Ndue Eduo, Okon Eket, Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

The police spokesperson in the state N-nudam Fredrick said the incident happened in June 23, he said, "When she was in the prophet's counseling room, the suspect administrated an intoxicating liquid substance to the victim and therefore took advantage of the victim and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her."

Fredrick also disclosed that Friday Jacob is the second pastor arrested for rape in the state in less than a month.
