Nigerians Want Police's SARS Force Scrapped

 

Nigerians have called for the end of Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS. through their social media platforms. The dreaded controversial unit of the Nigerian Police Force is known for unlawful detention, humiliation, extortion, torture, framing up suspects and even blackmail of innocent citizens.

Daddy Freeze wrote, "The abuse needs to end now."

Peter Okoye wrote, "@MBuhari @ProfOsinbajo is SARS in Nigeria not as SWAT in the United States? They are only deployed when there is a special crime like Robbery, Hostage, Kidnapping etc. They were not created to kill exhort and harass innocent Nigerians. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH."
