“In 2023 There Are Still Black People Who Would Prefer We Stay Divided” — Burna Boy Laments

 

Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy laments on how sad that it is that there are black people who would prefer they stay divided and conquered.

The singer took to his Instagram story to complain about how his words were misunderstood by people. He pointed out that he never said they were African and not American.

Burna Boy expressed how disheartening it is for black people in 2023 to still prefer to be disunited and vanquished.

To clarify any misunderstanding created by  his statement, the singer disclosed that it might have been his accent that made them misinterpret it.

"It’s sad to see that in 2023 there are still such black people who would prefer we stay divided and conquered. maybe it’s my accent or something but I never said you are African and not American."
