“If You Don't Care If Your Wife Is Having Affairs Outside, How Will You Care If Your Officials Are Stealing Government Money?” - Reno Omokri Questions Peter Obi
Social media Influencer, Reno Omokri has slammed Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State for showing indifference to whatever his wife does in their marriage.
He questioned the politician that if he becomes a president, how he expects to address corruption within his administration if he cares not about his wife having extramarital affair.
Omokri, emphasized that lack of concern for personal loyalty in the life of Obi implies a similar disregard for governmental accountability.
He stated that the attitude Obi will display if he finds his wife cheating is the same nonchalant attitude he will show when be steal government money.
“If you don't care if your wife is having affairs outside, how will you care if your officials are stealing government money? Look at the matter rationally. Are you saying that you will value government money more than your wife's fidelity? Then why did you name your bank Fidelity Bank? If that is what fidelity means to you, then is our money safe in your bank?
To even say such a thing in public is shameful!”
In an appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, Obi disclosed an unending commitment to his wife regardless of her actions.
“No matter what my wife does today, I won’t divorce her. I can’t separate from her. I can never. Even if she like let her shoot me, as long as I am alive, she’s my wife,” he said
“No matter what she does, I won’t marry [someone else]. She’s my wife. Whatever she likes, let her do because what is she going to do that would offend me? What? Maybe have an extramarital affair? It’s her business. It’s not me. They won’t say two of us have an affair. They would say Peter Obi is a very good man who married a woman who is [promiscuous]. That is it!
“You can’t quantify me with the life of my wife or children. No. We have different lifestyles. Even if I’m traveling with my wife, people have seen it. Sometimes we are in the same plane but in different classes.
She is in business class and I’m in economy. Because that suits her and it doesn’t conflict with my interests,”
