Nollywood Actor Ibrahim Chatta Opens Up About Losing Child Over Unpaid Hospital Bills

Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta shared a painful experience about losing his first child due to inability to pay hospital bills.

Ibrahim Chatta said he struggled to pay hospital bills for his first child, trekking across various locations to sell puff-puff, but didn't raise enough money before the child passed away.

The actor tearfully shared in an interview with Abiola Orisile of Events & Parties TV that his baby girl passed away before he could afford the necessary treatment.

“My first child is not Malik. The first child I had died. The hospital requested payment for her care. I trekked from Ijora-Badia… to Itolo in Orile… through Lawanson to Costain and then Makoko. Those were places I used to hawk puff-puff. I didn’t get money until the child died,” he said, fighting back tears.

He revealed he was too poor to afford a proper coffin for his child's burial, adding to his heartbreak.

“They buried her with the wooden Coca-Cola tray,” he revealed.

“Her mother felt somehow and said she wasn’t the one who gave birth to the child. I told her I had a female child before and explained how she died. They all cried. They had never heard that story from me,” he stated.

“I love all my children. God gave me three. But I want more children.”
