Nicki Minaj Reveals Why She Spoke Out for Nigerian Christians

Rapper Nicki Minaj has spoken out about the situation facing Christians in Nigeria due to her personal connections to the country and disturbing reports of attacks on worshippers. 

She revealed this during a surprise appearance at AmericaFest, citing her Nigerian pastor and fans, known as "Nigerian Barbz", as reasons for her concern.

Minaj expressed outrage over kidnappings and killings in churches and also emphasized her refusal to be silenced.

“Nigeria is a place I’ve always loved. Someone very dear to me, my pastor, is Nigerian, and I have lots of Nigerian barbs."

"Hearing that people are being kidnapped while they're in church, people are being killed, brutalised, all because of their religion, that should spark outrage.

"We're not backing down anymore. We are not going to be silenced by the bullies anymore. We will speak up for Christians wherever they are in this world." 

Minaj also stressed the importance of religious freedom, contrasting the US with countries where worship is restricted. She praised former US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance for understanding ordinary Americans' concerns.
