Stella Damasus Reveals How Her Husband Suddenly Died During Basketball Game

Stella Damasus, a veteran Nollywood actress, has opened up about the sudden death of her first husband, Jaiye Aboderin.

During an interview on the Tea With Tay podcast hosted by Temisan Emmanuel, the actress shared how Jaiye passed away after about five years of marriage. Jaiye who was then 33 years old went out to play basketball as usual. 

While playing, he suddenly collapsed and did not survive. The cause was a heart attack. Earlier that same day, the couple had been making plans to hang out with friends in the evening, making the loss even more shocking.

Stella described the incident as completely unexpected, with no prior signs of serious health issues. 

She disclosed the tragedy forced her to view life differently, especially after losing a young, active partner so abruptly.
