Hilda Baci Discrowned After Short Reign As Irish Chef Breaks Guinness World Records

Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, well known as Hilda Baci, holder of Guinness World Record for the “longest cooking marathon by an individual as been dethroned by Irish chef, Alan Fisher after cooking for 119 hours and 57 minutes. 

Guinness World Records (GWR) confirmed this as it announced the Irish restaurant owner, Alan Fisher as the new record holder for longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Alan Fisher (Ireland), an owner and chef of a restaurant in Japan, has broken two cooking-related Guinness World Records titles,” the statement read.

“First up, he’s claimed the longest cooking marathon (individual) after clocking in a time of 119 hours 57 minutes. That is more than 24 hours longer than the previous record held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.

The new Guinness World Records holder, Alan Fisher surpassed chef Hilda Baci's record with 24 hours longer.
