"I Spend Up To $300,000 Every Month Living In Nigeria" - Davido
Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed the huge cost of living large at home, saying he spends up to $300,000 every month while in Nigeria.
Davido disclosed during a recent interview, giving fans a rare look at the behind-the-scenes expenses that come with being one of Africa’s biggest music stars.
Davido explained that the massive monthly figure covers everything from staff salaries, security, logistics, family upkeep, charity work, to hosting guests and running multiple businesses in Nigeria.
He noted that staying active in the country means maintaining a large team and infrastructure, and that the cost adds up quickly.
“It’s expensive to be me in Nigeria. Up to $300k a month sometimes,” he said.
Davido is known for his lavish lifestyle, frequent giveaways, and for flying in family, friends, and collaborators to Lagos.
This isn’t the first time Davido has spoken about money. He’s previously shared how much he spends on concerts, music videos, and charity donations, often framing it as part of giving back.
"I actually spend less in Yankee because I live with just me, my wife and my kids," he said. "When I'm around, I spend a lot more. We are balling every day."
When he was asked to estimate his monthly expenditure while in Nigeria,
"I can't tell you how much, but I can tell you like 300. Normally, probably like 200 to 300.This is minus my wife and the house that one is closed. Minus buying jewellery or buying car," he said.
