Phyna won the seventh season of Big Brother Naija, tagged Level Up, on October 2, 2022. Four years later, she marked the anniversary by celebrating her triumph inside the boxing ring.

Taking to social media, the reality star described the boxing victory as another historic moment in her life.

“October 2nd will forever be a special date in my life. Today marks the anniversary of the day I won BBN, and now, years later, I’m celebrating another historic victory: becoming the first female boxer to step into this ring and win this fight.”

Phyna went on to reflect on her journey from reality television to the boxing ring, saying she has always been willing to challenge herself and prove that there is more to her than what people see.

She dedicated the victory to women who have ever been told they could not achieve something.

“This one is for every woman who has ever been told she couldn’t. We can, we will, and we absolutely should.”

The reality star also thanked Balmoral Promotions and Bet9ja for giving her the opportunity to participate in the celebrity boxing event.

Meanwhile, the fight has continued to generate reactions online, particularly after Phyna called out actress Etinosa Idemudia for a potential next boxing bout.

Etinosa, who was reportedly at the event, responded to the challenge, setting the stage for another possible celebrity boxing showdown.

Nkechi Blessing, on her part, also reacted to the outcome on social media and congratulated Phyna after the fight, although she later questioned the official result in another post.

For Phyna, however, the victory has added another memorable chapter to her journey from reality TV star to celebrity boxer.
