Happy Democracy Day! Today calls for celebration for Nigerians, 19years of civilian rule , Democracy. The President made his Democracy Day speech with their successes, challenges and hope for the future.


As part of Democracy Day celebration, the governor of Plateau State, Lalong, has shortened the sentence of two prisoners.


Some state are celebrating Democracy Day while Borno and Yobe state are not celebrating, with no line up programmes for the governors. It was gathered that the last time Borno State celebrated was in 2012.

 One of the aide said,"We aren't marking Democracy Day in Borno because we feel the suffering  our people have gone through in the last eight years."
