IGP orders probe into rape allegation leveled against D'banj
In respect to the rape allegation leveled against Oladapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D'banj, by Miss Seyitan Babatayo, who accused D'banj of raping her in December 2018 has been looked into by the Inspector General of Police.
Even though D'banj denied the rape allegation leveled against him, he asked his accuser to pay ₦100M for damages. There has also been a powerplay by the accused who had the accuser detained for 24 hours and coerce her to delete all her chats on social media and other important information from her phone. The accuser also came out on her Twitter handle to deny been arrested.

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammad Adamu, has ordered a probe into the allegation of rape leveled against D'banj.
This is contained in a letter with reference no CB. 7000/IGP. SEC/ABJ/vol. 484/801 signed by the Principal Staff Officer to the IG, DCP Idowu Owobunwa.
The letter was addressed to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department, Area 10, Garlic, Abuja.
This response was as a result of a petition written to the IG by Mr. Tommy Ojoge-Daniel, a lawyer to Miss Seyitan Babatayo, who accused D'banj raping her.
The IG's letter is titled,
Re: Petition Against (1) Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo (aka D'banj) for Rape Indecent Sexual Assault, Attempted Assault on Miss Seyitan Temidayo.
"Accept the assurance of my esteemed regards, please."
