Women and celebrities all over the world are sharing black-and-old photos of themselves on social media to spread messages about female solidarity and empowerment. They are taking part in the challenges which include the hashtag #challengeaccepted.

Genevieve Nnaji, Toke Makinwa and other celebrities have participated in the challenge by sharing the black-and-white photos and their support for the challenge. Genevieve Nnaji who posted a beautiful photo of herself and noted she had been nominated to take part in the challenge.Toke Makinwa also posted a photo of herself in a Chinese outfit, thanking all the people that tagged her and preached about loving each other.

Though the origin is unknown, in 2016 a similar challenge went viral to raise cancer awareness. Participants nominate at least one other woman or more.
