"My Son Caught Me With A Bottle Of Sniper The Day I Wanted To Drink It" - Blessing Okoro Recounts How She Wanted To Kill Herself

 

Relationship expert Blessing Okoro has finally opened up about how she almost committed suicide after she was arrested because she tried to pass off someone else's house as hers and took a photo in front of it.

The therapist who is set to launch her book, "Take Off The Mask Depression", disclosed she knew what it is to be depressed. She recalled how she was mocked and prayed for death until her son declared how he loves her.

Blessing revealed that while holding a bottle of sniper to take her own life, the son caught her. However, after the son's declaration of love she lost the courage to commit suicide.

She wrote,

"Remember me?"

"I waited for the day I will be proud to post this picture.

Bloggers and the media used me to make money,musicians used me make money (na audio oooo)

"Actors use me do movie, I was on everybody’s lips, they drained me as much as they could for content .

"This was suppose to burry me ,make me disappear and run far from the media .

I still hear your voices laughing and mocking me till date..

You did not carehow I felt, if I died, many of you was still shooting me even while I was struggling to survive.

"I was on the ground but they kept matching me😭😭😩😩.

Ashawo na regular name for woman because almost everybody body dey nack , but you see thief, ole, thief na one thing wey fit kee any woman destiny😭, them come handcuff me join with police 😭😭.

"Let’s not talk about what I did let us talk about how you treated me without hearing from me, how you where ready to kill me without even knowing me😭.

'A lot of my friends ran,mocked me, even those wey I hep. Kia .

DEPRESSION swallowed me.

Everywhere was black even with light all over my face.

"All I said was God kee me, kee me let me die this shame is too much kee me, I looked at my kids, my mum, my family, but I was not satisfied all I was looking for was public and social media Validation (strangers )

"The day I held that bottle of snipper to drink my son caught me. And said mummy what are you drinking, tears rolled down my eyes . He held me and said mummy I love you stop crying.

It broke me into pieces,my mum came the next morning and said to me.

"Do you know why I named you NKIRUKA?

I said NO .

She said, it is because I know your future will be bigger than your past.

"Do you know why your father called you Blessing?

It is because the day I gave birth to you, your father bought his first car and first break through 😭😭.

"Nkiruka, she called me 3 times.

You will build that house and more, just stay alive and be focused.

"Let that be your reason to live, stay alive .

"I wept I wept , I wept and wept .

"I am willing to use same strength to help you and save you. I survived for a reason."
