EFCC Arrests Operations Manager of A Commercial Bank for Hoarding New Naira Notes In Abuja

 

The Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, on Monday, arrested the operations manager of a commercial bank  in Abuja for hoarding the new naira notes.

The manager refused to load the Automated Teller Machines, ATMs, despite having N29million of the redesigned naira notes in the branch’s vaults.

However, before he was whisked away for further questioning, the operative ordered the loading of all the ATMs and payment of the stipulated amount across the counter causing the customers to jubilate, having spent several hours on the queues in an effort to get the new notes.
