Davido Narrates How His Father Had Him Repeatedly Arrested

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, better known by his stage name, Davido, has revealed that his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke had him arrested many times

According to the star, his father had him arrested on different occasions in order for him to be successful.

Davido disclosed that once there's news of him performing, his father will send police to arrest him and every other person they found there.

During a recent appearance on the Ebro in the Morning Show on Hot 97FM in New York City, Davido made this known.

“He sent police to get me like he sees a billboard; for example, ‘Davido performing, Wizkid performing’. He will send police to arrest everybody.”

“So, I can go back to school. He kept on doing it. Then there was one time. This is where I knew that ‘Oh I’m lit!’. They [police] came and got me. Then I’m in the cell and the dude that got the keys his phone rings, it’s my song. I said ‘that’s me’. He said ‘you’re Davido?’. I said ‘yes!’. And he let me go.”

“I finished school. But I had to do like a part-time stuff. Not that he hated music [he just wanted me to be done with school]. And I feel like, he wants that whatever I’m going to do, I have to be successful, very successful.”
