False Rape Accuser Should Be Punished The Same As A Rapist - Uche Jombo

 

Popular Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo has shared her thoughts on false rape accusations and how the accuser should be punished. 

In a post she shared on social media she opined that false rape accusers should serve the same punishment as rapists.

This is coming after ex-Manchester City player, Benjamin Mendy was accused of raping a woman and attempting to rape another.

Without mincing words, the producer stated that anyone who would accused another of rape,where no rape took place should as well be given the punishment that a rapist. 

"False rape accusations should attract same jail term as rape."

However, some of her followers disclosed that this action will discourage women who had been raped afraid of speaking up as another follower stated how hard it is for rape without video evidence. 

@realchado wrote, "I thought about this & I realize that it wouldn't and sadly, shouldn't. The fact that some1 isn't guilty doesn't mean they are "innocent". Tape is one difficult crime to prove without video evidence. Jailing accusers would scare others who truly are in bondage from coming out."

@ChidiEzekiel wrote, "The argument is that, "it will prevent women who are actual victims of Rape from speaking up. Whether this makes sense or not, depends on the side you want to see it from."
