I Was Afraid My Daughter Will Succumb Easily To Peer Pressure In Abroad - Mercy Aigbe Reveals As Daughter Graduates

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has disclosed that at a point, after her daughter, Michelle Gentry got admission to University of Manitoba in Canada, she almost regretted action of sending the girl abroad.

The mother of two revealed that her fear was based on the stories about children studying abroad and how they can succumb easily to peer pressure.

This comes after her daughter, Michelle Gentry bagged a degree in Aeronautics Engineering from the University of Manitoba in Canada, making the actress a proud mother.

The doting mother stated that she also becameworried, because for the first time her daughter was going to be all by herself in a strange land.

"The photo on the left is the day @michelleio__ left Nigeria. Today was a whirlwind of emotions for me. I was happy that it was my dream, but I was so worried and worried about being alone that I couldn’t sleep for days.

"I kept thinking and asking myself if I made the right decision! Cos we hear a lot of stories about kids studying abroad, how they can succumb easily to peer pressure, a lot of stories! Whew! I was so worried she was going to be all by herself in a strange land! I couldn’t go with her that very day because I couldn’t afford a ticket for both of us then because I had used all my money to pay school fees ( hmmmm story for another day )…"
