President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians of peace and prosperity as he addressed them on the ongoing nationwide protests against bad governance and economic hardship.
President Bola Tinubu has addressed Nigerians as thousands protest bad governance, the increasing cost of living and hunger with placards explaining their reasons for protest and the hashtag #Endbadgovernance.
President Tinubu, in his speech expressed sadness over the deaths, looting and destruction the nation experienced since the protest started, calling for immediate suspension of the demonstration
While urging protesters and the organisers to create a room for peaceful dialogue.

President Tinubu revealed his vision for the country, a just and prosperous nation where each person can enjoy the peace, freedom, and meaningful livelihood and where dreams comes true.
“Under the circumstances, I hereby enjoin protesters and the organisers to suspend any further protest and create room for dialogue, which I have always acceded to at the slightest opportunity. Nigeria requires all hands on deck and needs us all – regardless of age, party, tribe, religion or other divides, to work together in reshaping our destiny as a nation. To those who have taken undue advantage of this situation to threaten any section of this country, be warned: The law will catch up with you. There is no place for ethnic bigotry or such threats in the Nigeria we seek to build.”
