The Resemblance Between My Late Son, Ifeanyi, and My New Son Is Uncannily Similar - Davido

Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has shared that after experiencing a significant loss, he felt like giving up and focusing on his family. However, he was blessed with twins, a boy and a girl, and the boy bears a striking resemblance to his deceased son, Ifeanyi. This similarity is so uncanny that it's as if his deceased son has come back to life.

In a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, Davido shared that he feels that the strong resemblance between his twins and his late son Ifeanyi was so striking that it seemed as though Ifeanyi had returned to life.

Davido disclosed that the loss of his son was so devastating that he felt like giving up and just wanted to focus on taking care of his wife and family, and getting his life back on track.

“That type of loss made you just be like, ‘I’m out’. I am just going to chill, take care of my wife and take care of the family and get my head right. To come back from that and…to be blessed with twins out the gate; a boy and a girl.

“And, the boy looks just like my son (Ifeanyi) that passed. It is scary. It’s like literally him. We’re like, “No, it’s him. He came back” type stuff.”

Davido's first son, Ifeanyi, tragically drowned at the singer's Banana Island home in November 2022. Months later, Davido revealed in an interview that he had secretly married his partner, Chioma. Almost a year after Ifeanyi's passing, the couple welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, in October 2023. They later had a grand wedding in June 2024.
