No More Playing Nice - Peter Okoye Fires Back at Older Brother, Jude Okoye

Nigerian musician, Peter Okoye has publicly criticized his older brother, Jude Okoye, stating that age doesn't automatically warrant respect, and that respect must be earned through actions, not just given based on seniority.

He also accused Jude Okoye of stealing from him and betraying his trust, and challenged his older brother to answer the question of whether he's a thief or not.

Jude Okoye had previously criticized Peter Okoye, accusing him of being greedy and exploiting his platform.

“They all have one thing in common: They were big, influential and successful when I was shouldering them with my platform until they got greedy and wanted to eat alone and so left. They never complained afterwards. Rather they bragged about their ‘new found freedom’ and ‘making it all on their own’. Years down the line they fell off the wagon and became broke and instead of accepting responsibility and accountability for their choices, they are pointing fingers at the same person they left for their ‘freedom’,” he wrote.

Peter highlights his success as a solo artist, stating that he earns more now than he did during his time with PSquare, and questions the point of sharing earnings with someone who has wronged him.

Peter Okoye expressed frustration and declared that he will no longer hesitate to stand up for himself when faced with perceived wrongdoing.

JUST BECAUSE YOU’RE OLDER, DOESN’T MEAN YOU DESERVE RESPECT. RESPECT IS EARNED NOT GIVEN.
Calling me broke or wishing I was broke has been your wish. These are the exact same words you told the EFCC officials. And you ended up getting locked up in prison. Of course, you have to come up with another narrative. You were shouldering who? Agbaya, you were employed as a manager by Peter and Paul and you got sacked the same as the other 2 managers before you. Period!
I understand this may not sit well with some people, but truth be told, aside from my businesses, what I now earn on my own as a solo artiste today is more than what I used to earn after splitting three ways as PSQUARE plus the so-called manager. I am talking about both shows and endorsements. It really makes me question what’s the point of sharing with people who stole from you, betrayed you, and still discriminate against your efforts!?
This solo journey has been a blessing—more rewarding and profitable, both financially and personally, no doubt 💯. And it has also brought me peace of mind. And if you don’t relate or it doesn’t make sense to you, no worries—it’s not meant to. But I am grateful. But again, despite we are in court! Una never still answer the question, UNA THIEF ABI UNA NO THIEF ?⚖️ ⚖️ Ndi ori.
I have stopped playing nice and being the matured one while getting disrespected!
I started treating people exactly how they treat me.
Respect me, I respect you!
Ignore me, I ignore you!
Cross me, I cut you off, simple.
Life isn't about begging people for fair treatment!
It's about matching energy;
it is what it is. Tit for tat!
I stayed real, I stayed strong, and I stopped letting people walk over me. PETER OKOYE.
