May Edochie's former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, has fired back at her after she filed a ₦1 billion lawsuit for cyberbullying, accusing her of being a "terrible liar" and "manipulative".
He released private conversations they had during her divorce proceedings from Yul Edochie, claiming they prove her dishonesty.
Ugwuonye alleges May was more interested in growing her brand than seeking justice in her case, and that she's been exploiting her fans' emotions.
He also claims Yul didn't want to marry May, but was forced to by his father, and that their marriage lacked love. May's lawsuit demands Ugwuonye remove defamatory posts, issue a public apology, and pay ₦1 billion in damages.
Ugwuonye shared Facebook screenshots of chats with May Edochie, claiming he supported her during her divorce case. He alleges she betrayed his trust after receiving premium treatment from him.
Ugwuonye warned May Edochie to be careful, hinting that he has more damaging evidence that could harm her reputation if released.
“If you see the chats between us, you will understand how fake May is and what a terrible liar she is. All those who believe her are just pitiable.
“Can you see how I was guiding her on when to get to court. I gave this woman first class treatment. I would send her the Cause List and guide her so she would not wait long before her case would be called,” he wrote.
May Edochie recently issued a cease-and-desist notice to her former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, accusing him of cyberbullying, defamation, and cyberstalking through malicious social media posts.
