US Launches Deadly Strike Against ISIS in Nigeria, Trump Says
President Donald Trump announced on Christmas Day that he had directed the US military to conduct airstrikes against ISIS (Islamic State) targets in northwest Nigeria.
He described the strikes as a retaliation for persistent assaults on Christian communities, while noting that previous warnings had been issued to the terrorists.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the lethal strike targeted ISIS terrorist scum in northwest Nigeria, who have been viciously killing and primarily targeting innocent Christians.

“Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries! ... The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing. Under my leadership, our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper. May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists."
