I'll Rather Drink Garri Than Associate With Billionaires I Don't Know Their Source Of Wealth - Uche Maduagwu Shades Obi Cubana

 

Socialite and businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu popularly known as Obi Cubana was arrested by Economic And Financial Crime Commission, EFCC over money laundering and tax fraud.

Earlier in the year, Obi Cubana made headlines and trended on social media following a lavish burial ceremony for his late mother, lady Uche Iyiegbu.

Reacting to his arrest by EFCC, Nigerian gay rights activist, Uche Maduagwu stated that nobody was above the law.

In his own opinion, he disclosed that it's better for him to drink garri than hang out with billionaires and millionaires whose source of wealth remains a mystery. He emphasized that it's not all that glitters is gold.

"Nobody is above the LAW. Not even Obi Kunu. So many celebrities criticized asking Hushpuppi back then his source of overnight WEALTH. But today where is he?"

"I would rather drink Garri than hang out With Billionaires and millionaires Whose source of wealth I Do not know. Not all that glitters is gold," he wrote.

While speaking with BBC Pidgin Obi Cubana  revealed why he spent so much for his mother's burial. According to him, he said they had planned to organize a world best carnival for the mother when she clocks 80 years, unfortunately she died before then.

"My mother’s burial happened like that because we promised her that we would organize the best carnival in the world for her when she clocks 80.

But unfortunately, she died before the age of 80 years, so we decided to invest all the plans and energy reserved for the 80th birthday on her burial.

“My father died 15 years ago so my mother played the role of father and mother. She prayed for us always”, he said.
