Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has questioned married men about why they often avoid wearing their wedding rings.

In the viral post, the actress, who is newly divorced following the end of her five-year marriage to hype man MC Fish (confirmed in December 2025), emphasized the symbolic importance of the wedding band. 

She described it as "a kind of assurance to your wife" and "a promise... that you’re still here and still got her," even though it's "just a ring.

This comes shortly after her public split from MC Fish, amid reports of challenges in the marriage

Many fans and commenters praised her for speaking out about commitment and honoring marriage vows while few noted that rings don't always guarantee fidelity or that practical reasons (like work) play a role.

Anita has since stated she's single, focusing on healing, and not seeking new relationships, this is despite receiving plenty of attention from men post-divorce.

Interestingly, back in 2022, while she was still married, she had commented on the flip side that men often ignore women's wedding rings and still approach them, attributing it to attraction rather than respect for the symbol. Her latest take seems to reflect fresh perspective from her experiences.
