Toke Makinwa Unveils Daughter Yakira Eliana’s Face on Her First Birthday

 

Nigerian media personality, broadcaster, and entrepreneur Toke Makinwa has finally introduced her daughter, Yakira Eliana, to the public, sharing the little girl’s face for the first time as she marked her first birthday. 

On Friday, August 7, 2026, Makinwa posted a series of adorable photos of her daughter on social media. She had largely shielded the child’s face from public view throughout her first year of life. 

In an emotional caption, the proud mother wrote, “The best part of my story, finally yours to meet.  Yakira Eliana. My precious answered prayer. My greatest love. My greatest blessing. One whole year of you, and today, I finally share a little piece of my heaven with the world. God can be trusted, God is real… Just like Hagar my mouth can testify that I have met ‘El-roi’, the God who sees me. Happy birthday Yakira Eliana, my YaYa, Ya Pom Pom, Ya mama, my little bum bum  Guys, meet your niece. I cooked ohhhhhh. She is beautiful.”

Makinwa, who welcomed Yakira in August 2025 after announcing her pregnancy earlier that same month, had previously shared partial images of her daughter (such as limbs or from behind) while protecting her full identity. 

The first-birthday reveal marks a significant milestone for the mother of one, who has often spoken about how motherhood transformed her perspective and filled her with gratitude. 

Fans, colleagues, and fellow celebrities quickly flooded the comments with warm birthday wishes and compliments on the toddler’s beauty, with many describing her as adorable and a “baby doll.” Some reports also noted that Makinwa had recently shared plans to celebrate the occasion with a trip to London. 

Toke Makinwa also disclosed that she has been hiding her daughter's identity for a whole year, 

which was her secret.
