“Women Think I Want To Sleep With Them When I Ask Them To Meet Me At Hotels” – Actor Yemi Solade Spills

Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade is speaking out about a popular misconception people have about him.

In a recent interview with Feel Right News TV, the actor explained his habit of asking people to meet him at hotels and how it’s often misunderstood. 

According to Solade, it doesn’t matter if the person is male or female.

 “Whether you’re a man or you’re a woman, if you want to see me, I’ll tell you to come and meet me in the hotel I’m staying in. And whenever I say that to women, they think I want to sleep with them.”

He explained that his frequent hotel stays are usually work-related. As an actor, movie productions often require him to travel and stay in hotels while filming. So the meeting location is simply where he is at the time. 

This isn’t the first time the veteran actor has addressed rumors around hotel meetings. Years ago, Solade was accused by a lady who claimed he asked her to meet him at a guest house for a movie role. At the time, he dismissed the allegation and said he wasn’t ready to take it seriously. 

Solade, who is now over 60, has also been open about aging and his past. In a July 2025 interview, he joked that he started "womanizing" early in life but “don’t have the strength anymore”.

The actor’s comments have sparked conversation online again about hotel meetings in the entertainment industry and how intentions are perceived. Solade maintains that for him, it’s strictly about convenience due to work.
