The Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Broadway Theatre also known as Tony Award, acknowledges excellence in live Broadway Theatre. The first award was in April 6, 1947. The awards are presented by the American Theatre Wing and Broadway League at an annual ceremony in New York City.


This year Tony Awards is the 72nd annual Tony Awards and as usual it was full of glamour, fashion and a lot of entertainment. It was hosted by Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban. There were performances from cast of Mean Girls, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical and Bruce Springsteen.
