Peter Okoye is nominated for two awards

Peter Okoye, a Nigerian singer and a songwriter now known by the stage name Mr P, of the former P Square group, has been nominated by the International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA) for two awards.


He got nominated in the "Best Male" and "Best International Male Artist", 2018 category.


Mr P made this known on his Instagram page.


He wrote, "Two nominations: International Achievement Recognition Awards, shout out to all my loyal fans, this one is for you. My first ever nomination, not one but two! It can only get better and better.


"@iara award, am truly honoured and congrats to other nominees, y'all are incredible."


Its his first award nomination still the P Square broke up.


He was nominated for his hit song "Ebaeno Crooner" Will be competing against Davido, Michael Dappah, George Ezra, Ihab Amir, Bread Boi, Louis Tomilson, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, in the "Best International Male Artist" category.


He will be competing against Mohammed A bass, Davido, Black Coffee, Diamond Platinumz, Cassaper Nyovest and LA Fouine for the " Best Male Artist"


The award ceremony will hold at Hilton Hotel, London, on September 22.
