How an alleged thief was given jungle justice

On Monday, March 16, a youth was seriously stabbed by some boys along Duduyemi Street, Olugbede, Lagos State. This incident occurred around 12:23pm.

According to an eyewitness, who did not want her name revealed gave an account of how the incident occurred.

She said, "Some boys came into the compound and told the people of the compound that a thief has jumped into their compound over the fence. The boys went over the back of the fence and dragged the boy and claimed he stole a phone.

"They broke bottles and stabbed him. Especially, the head. Though, the alleged thief was shouting that he did not steal and that he is not a thief.

"The police have been called to the scene and took the thief to the hospital and they have started their investigation."
