Known by different names in different ethnic groups and languages. For example, the Hausas call it Baban Riga, to the Yorubas, Agbada, to the Wolof, Boubou.
Agbada is a free flowing gown. It usually consists of three pieces of clothing, a pair of tie_up trousers, long sleeves shirt and a long flowing gown worn on top. Most times complemented with a cap.
Over the years this attire has gone through a lot of modification. These days, the attire has been made very fashionable for both male and female.
