"The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Loved My Performance And Dress At The Earthshot Prize" - Yemi Alade Discloses

 

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Yemi Alade has expressed her happiness at being pleased the way the royal couple loved her dress and performance at the first-ever edition of the Earthshot Prize Awards, at the Alexandra Palace on Sunday evening.

The Earthshot Prize, an annual  event from 2021 to 2030, is a prize awarded to five winners each year to people who have provided solutions that has helped the environment. The Prize is given by the Royal Foundation, headquartered in London, England. 

She took to her Instagram page to share a photo and disclosed that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate loved the cloth she worn. Not only that, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William loved her performance. The song 'Rain' was selected by the royals.

She wrote,

"Thank you for inviting us @princewilliamroyal and Duchess Kate and selecting my song "Rain".

"Happy to know the Duchess loved my dress and the Duke loved my performance at #earthshotprize.

"Mummy they sent their love to you too."

She also revealed that the royal couple sent their regards to her mother.

The Earthshot Prize was launched in 2020 by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and David Attenborough, with the support of some other individuals and organizations.
