Davido Plans To Give 20 Million Naira To 20 People On Friday

 

Nigerian multi-award winning artiste, Davido has come up with another plan to help the less privileged. He plans to share 20 million naira to 20 people. However they've to present their business ideas.

In a post shared on the microblogging platform Twitter, Davido disclosed that the country is currently hard and wants to make life better for 20 people.

Davido wrote,

"Country hard right now sha … let’s give 20 m to 20 pple on Friday … send in your business ideas or start up ideas … more details shortly."

Late last year, Nigerian Afrobeats artiste, Davido raised over N200 million from friends and colleagues, who deemed it fit to send him money ahead of his 29th birthday as he pleaded. He took to his Instagram story calling on few popular names and requesting N1 million from each of them.

“If you know I’ve given you a hit song… send me money… una know una selves o.”

He further stated the reason behind the social media begging.

“We rise by lifting others abi? Me I don dey rise dey lifting others for the past 100 years. So I want to know who my friends are. All of my friends one one million Naira. They said we are 30BG. If you don’t send your own. You out of here. You are gone.” 

The singer got beyond his expectations and promised to donate to orphanage across Nigeria to a foundation.

“In view of this, I am delighted to announce that all funds received totalling N200 million will be donated to orphanages across Nigeria as well as the Paroche foundation.

“In addition, I will be making a personal donation of N50 million bringing the total amount to N250 million.”
