Lagos Lawyer, Bolanle Raheem Shot Dead By Police On Christmas Day Was Pregnant

 

Omobolanle Raheem, a lawyer and member of the NBA who killed by Nigerian Police officers on Christmas, on her way back from church in Ajah was pregnant at the time of her death.

The late Raheem, her sister, and four children were coming from an eatery in their car around 11am when the officer tried to stop them. She tried to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge when the officer shot at her car. The bullet was said to have hit her and was immediately rushed to a hospital where she was confirmed dead.

According to Nigerian investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, the deceased was was pregnant when she was shot besides her husband.

Kemi made this revelation on her Twitter page. She shared a photo of the deceased whom she said was her fan and met in a pharmacy. Adding that the officer that shot the lawyer might have also killed her fetus too.

She wrote,

"There must be a detailed transparent investigation into Bolanle’s MURDER. Just woke up to this mess that she was killed on Christmas Day making a u turn at Ajah under bridge. I urge residents to pls REMAIN CALM. Police should also exercise caution handling the public outrage."

"If I remember this lady was actually pregnant 🤰🏽and she came to that drug store to buy medications I gave her extra advice as a pharmacist. We took selfies, I meet fans all the time. I live near Doren and Coldstone/Dominos. Ajiwe police officers may have killed HER FETUS TOO👀👶🏽"
