Binani Becomes First Female Governor In Nigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has declared the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aishatu Dahiru, popularly known as Binani, as the winner of the Adamawa Governorship election.

Following the supplementary election held on Saturday, Barrister Hudu Yunusa, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for the state made this declaration.

Binani made history making her the first-ever female governor in Nigeria after she won the gubernatorial election in Adamawa State.
