"It Wasn't Until I Entered University I Realized How Poor People Are" - Nigerian Lady

A lady has disclosed that she never knew what it means to be poor until she got admitted into the university. 

A lady identified simply as @christinebiang has made it known that while growing up, her parents provided for her and shielded from how some people are suffering from poverty.

However, gaining admission into the university was an eye opener for her and the reality of life, with many living in poverty. 

The lady stated that even though she wasn't born in to a rich family, she has come to the realization that thousands of families are living in abject poverty. 

"It was when I entered Unilag I realized how poor people are. I was so shielded from all that as a child so I didn’t know, mind you I wasn’t born rich but I didn’t know/couldn’t phantom how poor people are in this country. So just thank God for your privilege and keep quiet."
