‘No Gree For Anybody’ - Nigerian Police Warn People Against Using Popular Slang
The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) is greatly displeased with the usage of the viral slang, 'no go gree for anybody' because of trouble it may bring across the country.
The force expressed strong disapproval and warned citizens against the use of 2024 theme, 'no go gree for anybody'.
The motto 'no go gree for anybody', which means someone should stand firm in his/her beliefs with no bending to pressure has become widely used by Nigerians to express their opinions.
During a press briefing on Tuesday in Abuja, Muyiwa Adejobi, the police spokesperson, said intelligence reports reveals that the slogan is capable of triggering crisis in Nigeria.

Muyiwa Adejobi disclosed that it's inadvisable and risky to use the phrase 'no go gree for anybody' which is often used to express resilience and strength is dangerous for the country.
“We have been informed from our intelligence that this is coming from the retributionary sector that might likely cause problems across the country.
“No dey gree for anybody is being seen as just normal talk. In the security community, we have seen it as a very dangerous slogan that can trigger crises.”
