Reno Omokri Calls For Regulation Of Social Media
Reno Omokri has emphasized the need for the federal government to regulate the social media in the country.
The media personality stated that social media is having a negative impact on Nigerian youth.
Reno explained that without the regulation of social media, the youth will not aspire to be role model in the society but bad influence to the society.

The activist mentioned the damages the social media will cause if not regulated.
“If we do not regulate what our youth see on social media, this is what many of our young females will aspire to be when they grow up, instead of an Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. And where young women go, young men will follow.”
President Bola Tinubu's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila had also said that social media has become a societal menace and must be regulated
“The social media has become a societal menace and must be regulated. As many people do not understand that once the send button is hit, there is a potential to reach millions of people around the world which is capable of causing a great danger not just in the society but even unintended consequences to the individuals that are receiving information which may include security of life.”
