Luke Osaro

Luke Osaro is Nigerian contemporary artist from Edo state. Born in 1977, Lagos. He obtained a Bachelor of Art degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

He has been practising as a full-time studio artist since 2004. He is a member of the Society of Nigerian Artists and the famous Artzero Group.

Luke is a very versatile artist, and his work is a blend of traditional African art and modern Western techniques. It's really amazing how he is able to work in so many different mediums and still maintain a consistent style.

Luke, known for his bronze sculpture tells unique stories with his work which are integrated in the hearts of people and reminding them about the beauty of nature.

Luke Osaro started his journey as a practicing artist with bonded stone and Fibre glass.

However, something was missing, he couldn't ignore the ancestral calling of bronze casting to carve out a niche for himself with his masterpieces.

Benin is known for their art which features humans, animals and gods.

Luke's love and passion for art makes him to redefine the Benin way of bronze casting which also features humans and animals.
