Zlatan Ibile Criticizes Nigerian Government Over Economic Hardship

Popular Nigerian rapper, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, widely known as Zlatan Ibile, has publicly slammed the Nigerian government for its failure to tackle the worsening economic struggles faced by everyday people.

The singer revealed the kind of raw frustration that so many Nigerians feel, enduring hardship with a forced smile while those in power seem indifferent.

In an interview with Madame Joyce in the United Kingdom, Zlatan voiced his dismay over how Nigerians have grown used to enduring hardship.

“We are used to it, suffering and smiling, that’s how it has always been and the government isn’t doing anything about it.” 

The rapper was addressing British rapper Dave's satirical take on Nigerians splashing cash inside clubs while beggars scrape by on the streets outside.
