"Funke Akindele Responds to Kunle Afolayan's Criticism, 'No Allow Jealousy Burn You'"
Funke Akindele has responded to Kunle Afolayan's criticism of the current marketing strategies used in the Nigerian film industry, particularly the emphasis on dance-driven promotions.
Afolayan expressed his exhaustion with the constant pressure to create viral content and questioned the financial returns of high-grossing cinema releases.
Akindele, who is currently Nollywood's highest-grossing filmmaker, took to her Instagram story to dismiss Afolayan's remarks, attributing them to jealousy. She emphasized that the industry is big enough for everyone to thrive and encouraged filmmakers to explore alternative marketing strategies.
