"If a Woman Loves You, She’ll Take Down Your Enemies" - Yul Edochie

Controversial Nollywood star and filmmaker Yul Edochie is once again making headlines after sharing strong views on love, loyalty, and partnership during a recent podcast appearance and follow-up social media post. 

In a statement that has quickly divided opinions online, the actor revealed what will happen if a woman loves her partner.

“If a man truly loves you, he will take a bullet for you. If a woman truly loves you, she will take down your enemies before they can fire bullets at you.”

Edochie emphasized that a truly devoted woman becomes fiercely protective, willing to confront or eliminate threats to her man. 

He contrasted this with relationships lacking real investment, where partners may even mock or undermine each other. 

Yul Edochie made these comments amid ongoing public scrutiny of his marriage. The actor, married to his first wife May Edochie since 2004, took second wife Judy Austin in 2022, a move that led to public fallout, including May’s divorce filing following the tragic death of their son Kambi in 2023.
