Phyna Accuses VeryDarkMan of Sexual Advances in Explosive Fallout Over Late Sister’s Case, Shares Alleged Screenshots

 

Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) winner Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has reignited her public feud with social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), accusing him of making unwanted sexual advances during the tragic period surrounding her late sister’s accident case. 

In a recent video circulating widely on social media, Phyna claimed that VDM turned against her and allegedly spread damaging information after she rejected his advances. She specifically referenced claims that she demanded ₦1 billion from Dangote Group in connection with her sister’s case, insisting the conversation never happened. 

“VDM came out and started saying opposite of what happened. I can never forgive him... Because of my sister’s case, he turned me into a bad person,” Phyna said emotionally. “He is someone I held in high esteem, and he switched up on me.”

She added, “Maybe because he said he wanted to sleep with me and I didn’t accept, that was why he started holding grudges against me.” Phyna reportedly shared alleged WhatsApp screenshots of late-night chats as evidence, showing messages where VDM allegedly expressed attraction and suggested intimacy. 

The drama traces back to August 2025 when Phyna’s sister, Ruth Otabor, was critically injured in an accident involving a Dangote truck near Auchi Polytechnic. Ruth tragically passed away from her injuries nearly a year ago. Phyna had sought public support and justice for her sister, initially involving VDM, who is known for his activism. 

Their relationship reportedly soured, with VDM later accusing Phyna of selfishness and other issues. Phyna has maintained that VDM’s actions derailed efforts to secure justice, turning her into a villain in the public eye. 

VDM has denied the allegations, reportedly responding from China and claiming the shared screenshots are AI-generated or fabricated. He has countered by sharing videos and past statements related to Phyna’s demands in the Dangote case.
