VDM Under Fire Over Alleged Fake Tinubu Audio, Faces Calls for Legal Action

Controversial social media personality Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), is once again at the center of a heated online storm after being accused of sharing a fake audio recording purportedly featuring President Bola Tinubu.

The clip, which quickly went viral across X, TikTok, and Instagram, has drawn sharp criticism from public figures and commentators who say the act amounts to a serious misuse of social media. Critics argue that spreading unverified and allegedly fabricated content involving the president crosses a line from online commentary into misinformation.

People opined that VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of a fake audio of President Tinubu. With many seeing it as a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media platform.
