Just In: 7 policemen killed in Abuja as gunmen opened fire

 Gunmen opened fire on policemen who were on stop-and- search duty operation at Galadimawa roundabout, a suburb in Abuja on Monday night, killing 7 policemen and many civilians wounded, as reported by daily trust newspaper.

According to a resident in the community who prefers anonymity said that the alleged gunmen were stopped by the policemen to be searched, and the next thing, they opened fire on the policemen. Leading to the death of 7policemen and one wounded.

Pedestrians and traders ran for safety because of the exchange of fire, many were injured. This has led to the deployment of policemen in the area.

The incident was confirmed by  the Abuja Police. And they are working towards bring the suspect to book.
