Sex for Grades: Angry Nigerians Storm Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu's Facebook Page
The Facebook page of Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu, the Unilag lecturer caught
in a "sex for grades" scandal, was stormed by angry Nigerians.
Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu was exposed via a secret filming which showed him sexually
harassing a female reporter posing as a student, by a BBC documentary.
Female reporters were sent to him after series of complains from a lot of
students who accused him of sexual abuse.
A female reporter who disguised as 17 years old female student was sent
to his office.
The female reporter wore secret cameras while she was communicating with
him in his office. The video showed Igbeneghu making sexual gestures.
This is even despite the fact that the female reporter presented herself
to be 17 years of age, which in any case is far from legal age of
consent in Lagos State.
Boniface was seen in an instance where he was seen praying with the
reporter and the next, he was asking her for a kiss, he also described
the secret place where lectures meet to touch students breast at the
staff club of the university, called 'cold room.' He also threatened her
and to make her life in the campus unbearable for her if she refuses him.
As soon as the video of the sex scandal went viral, Nigerians have
expressed just how they feel by storming his Facebook page.
Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu who is one of the pastors in a local branch of The Foursquare
Gospel Church has been asked to step down.
